Rt. 19 bike dealer charged with not paying state fees
CRANBERRY TWP — The owner of Northgate Motorcycles on Route 19 faces hundreds of charges after allegedly failing to submit $114,563 in purchase records to the state.
The dealership sells Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles.
Owner Joeph S. Javersack of Mars failed to submit title taxes and fees for 367 customers, according to state police.
Javersack was charged Thursday with 367 counts each theft by failure to make required disposition and misapplication of entrusted property.
According to a police report, Northland Motorcycles did not send the state Department of Transportation transfer records and fees for 210 motorcycles and 157 ATVs.
The fees, due by law to the state within 20 days for motorcycles and 15 for ATVs, were not submitted between Aug. 27, 2005 and Aug. 28, 2007.
