Betty L. Cooper

Betty L. Cooper, 88, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot, formerly of Havenhill Drive, died at 2:20 p.m. July 6 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 4, 1919, in Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Jordan Heasley.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She had been a machine operator for DuCo Ceramics in Saxonburg for 19 years. She was a member of the Buttercup Garden Club and the Quilters and enjoyed sewing.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Connie) Engleman of Saxonburg; a grandson, Benjamin Engleman; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Rachael Engleman; three brothers, Clifford and David Heasley, both of Jeannette, and Merle Heasley of Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. William (Margy Hoffman) Tebay and Mrs. James (Emogene) Lyon, both of Butler, Mrs. Donna Downing of Greensburg and Mrs. John (Shirley) Harper of California; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Cooper, who died Sept. 30, 1965.
