Peter S. Green, 93, of Bonniebrook Road, Butler, died Wednesday at Houtz's Personal Care in Butler.

Born April 25, 1915, in Butler, he was a son of the late Sylvester J. and Barbara M. Lehnerd Green.

He had worked as an electrician and a welder for the Union local 1319 for 11 years until his retirement in 1977. Prior to that, he was a plant manager for the Ashland Oil Co., was a cartage contractor for the Amoco Oil Co. and had been co-owner of the Green Brothers Garage, all in East Butler.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64 in Butler, the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department, the Tanglewood Senior Center, the NRA and the AAA. He also was a life member and past director of the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Surviving are three sons, Peter M. (Betty) Green, David C. (Beverly) Green and Bruce J. (Tammy) Green, all of Butler; four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Joyce) Croyle of Worthington, Mrs. Herbert (Judy) Hildebrand, Mrs. Michael (Becky) Wilbert and Luann Marzullo, all of Butler; three sisters, Vera "Sis" Geibel of Butler, Sr. Mary Zita Green, O.S.F., of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Paul (Mamie) Miller of Chicora; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma L. Bauldoff Green, who he married June 14, 1939, and who died Aug. 12, 1994. He was also preceded by a daughter, Gail Hungerman; five brothers, Valentine, Guy, Gerard, Chad, and Leonard; and one sister, Barbara.

<B>Green</B> — Friends of Peter S. Green, who died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Wendelin Endowment Fund, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler, PA 16002, or to the Butler Meals on Wheels Program, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
