Richard B. Hoover
Richard B. Hoover, 61, of Forest Heights passed away Monday at his home of natural causes.
He was born in Butler, Dec. 19, 1946, and he was a son of the late Joseph F. Hoover and Elizabeth G. "Betty" Harris Hoover.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Hoover was a graduate of the Karns City High School Class of 1964. During high school, he participated in track and after school played in Legion baseball.
He enjoyed hunting big game, fishing, bowling and watching golf on television.
He retired from Mellon Bank after 36 years. Following retirement, he worked at Friedman's at the Greater Butler Mart until his death.
Surviving are a daughter, Lorie R. Conroy and her husband, Michael J., of Seven Fields; two granddaughters, Ashley Conroy and Alyssa Conroy, both of Seven Fields; a brother, David J. Hoover of Butler; and two nieces, Courtney Hoover of Butler and Brianna Leyland and her husband, Colin, of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
<B>HOOVER</B> — Friends of Richard B. Hoover, who died Monday, July 21, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B> in Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe, retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating.
