Eleanor R. "Sis" Stauffer, 74, of Zelienople, formerly of Cranberry Township and Lancaster Township, died Friday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 3, 1933, in Cranberry Township, she was the daughter of the late Abraham J. and Susie E. Hartzel Rape.

Mrs. Stauffer was an active member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople, where she was a longtime member of the Fidelity Class, had been a member and past treasurer of the Women's Fellowship Group, was a former Sunday School teacher and church delegate. She was also a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Stauffer enjoyed camping and was a former member of the Country Campers Club.

For years she served as cook for the State Police Cadet Club. She retired from the Seneca Valley School District having worked in the food service department.

She is survived by two daughters, Marla Clouse and her husband, Wayne, of Cranberry Township and Terri Schaffer and her husband, Rodney, of Clearfield Township; two sons, Keith M. Stauffer and his wife, Beth, of Connoquenessing Township and Dayne M. Stauffer and his wife, Tammy, of Evans City; three brothers, Elder "Buzz" Rape and his wife, Dorothy, of Cranberry Township, Frank O. Rape and his wife, Vicky, of Cranberry Township, and Ronald H. Rape and his wife, Beverly, of Zelienople; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin C. "Merv" Stauffer, who died July 27, 1999; a brother, Carl Rape; and two sisters, Marjorie Smith and Gladys Mohr.

"Sis"Stauffer, who died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home, Inc.</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with her pastor, the Rev. James R. Bertoti, officiating.
