Twila Mae Sankey Hogg, 80, of Hogg Lane, Slippery Rock, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday at UPMC, Pittsburgh.

Born in Marion Township, March 12, 1928, she was the daughter of Earl H. Sankey and Pearl Elizabeth Sager Sankey.

She was employed on the family farm.

Mrs. Hogg was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church, Slippery Rock, where she previously served as financial secretary and Sunday school teacher.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking.

She married Albert "Al" Wilfred Hogg on Jan. 12, 1950. He survives along with three daughters, Erla M., and her husband, David Thomas of Maryville, Tenn., Sallie M. and her husband, Randy Riddle of Grove City and Diane E. and her husband, Fred Green of Slippery Rock; two sons, Leroy A. and his wife, Vonnie Hogg of Slippery Rock and Gary D. Hogg of Slippery Rock; 11 grandchildren, Craig D. Thomas, Tristin L. Thomas, Joshua D. Riddle, Lindsay M. Stillwagon, Jacob E. Hogg, Benjamin L. Hogg, Andrew W. Hogg, Chad W. Green, Rachel D. Green, Kirby Ritenour and Adam Ritenour; three great-grandchildren, Ella Stillwagon and Kyle and Abigail Ritenour; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Gladys Bollinger and Esther Blair.

<B>HOGG</B> — Friends of Twila Mae Sankey Hogg, who died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Albert Stuart, pastor of the Highland Presbyterian Church of Slippery Rock, officiating. Interment will be at the Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Presbyterian Church.
