Geraldine L. "Gerry" Boros, 80, of Zelienople died Sunday at Ellwood City Hospital.

Born Aug. 14, 1927, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Wilma Henderson Shanor.

Mrs. Boros was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople, where she was a member of the St. Ann Guild.

She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, assisted with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Sixty Plus groups in Evans City and Zelienople.

Gerry was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan, enjoyed crafts, knitting, sewing, playing cards and bingo and especially loved her family.

She is survived by two sons, Michael D. Boros and his wife, Tonya, of New Castle and Paul S. Boros and his wife, Sharon, of Zelienople; a daughter, Kathleen E. Ramige and her husband, Bob, of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Lila Libengood of New Brighton; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Michael J. Boros, who she married Dec. 15, 1951, died Feb. 13, 1998. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbert "Wib" Shanor Jr.

<B>BOROS</B> — Friends of Geraldine L. "Gerry" Boros, who died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Robert M. Miller officiating.
