Mary L. Payne
Mary L. Payne, 88, formerly of Butler and Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday at Orchard Manor, Grove City.
Born Sept. 20, 1919, in Butler, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary Onufrak Hrip.
She and her husband owned and operated Payne's Grocery and Service Station on Evans City Road in Butler.
She was a Protestant.
She and her husband raised foster children. She loved bingo and cards.
Surviving are her five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Judith) Neyman of Butler, Mrs. Mary Jane Weitman of Butler, Mabel Payne of New Castle, Mrs. Alice Watterson of Lyndora, and Carol Gailey of California; her brother, Pete Hrip of Lyndora; her sister, Helen Zarnick of Butler; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clifford Payne; five brothers; and three sisters.
