Ralph Francis Vignone
Ralph Francis Vignone, 89, of Butler died Saturday at his home after an illness.
He was born June 5, 1919, in Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, and was the son of Luigi Vignone and Teresa Puglise Vignone.
He retired from Armco in Butler after 30 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army as a sergeant.
He was a lifetime member of the Chicora Moose and a member of the NRA, the Fishing Club of America and the Paul W. Wood VFW Post in Cherry Valley.
He is survived by a son, Ralph A. Vignone of Butler; a sister, Louise Jeffries of Dorseyville; a brother, John Vignone of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and two nieces, Rosemary Weaver of Slippery Rock and Mary Devore of Butler.
His wife, Edna Mae DeVore Vignone, who he married Aug. 20, 1942, died March 15, 1992. He also was preceded by four brothers.
<B>VIGNONE</B> — Visitation for Ralph Francis Vignone, who died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther of the First United Methodist Church in Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates and Mausoleums, Mount Chestnut.
