Robert C. Percy, 70, of Cliffwood Beach, N.J., died peacefully at 1 a.m. Sunday at the Laurel Bay Health & Rehabilitation Center, Keansburg, N.J., after a long illness.

He was born in Butler, July 22, 1938, and was the son of the late William Percy Jr. and Ethel (Patterson) Percy.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1956 and enlisted in the Air Force for four years. After his discharge, he moved to New Jersey, where he enlisted in the Army Reserves and served for 23 years.

Robert attended Brookdale College in Lincroft, N.J., and North East Bible College. He was an architectural designer and retired from Conair Corp. because of health problems.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school.

He enjoyed music, reading and dancing and was a devoted husband and father with a great sense of humor and especially enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. Robert was a very kind, compassionate person with a devout faith.

He married Linda Reuss in 1964. Along with his loving wife, he is survived by four children, Linda (Joseph) Keeney of Harrisburg, N.C., Dawn (Gregory) Osborne of Cogan Station, Pa., Robert Jr. (Liz) of Old Bridge, N.J., and Tracey Moore (Tyree) of Keansburg; 11 grandchildren and one on the way, Gregory, Jessica, Timothy, Thomas and Krystin Osborne, Shannon, Dylan and Kevan Keeney and Shaelyn, Darius and Malakai Moore; a sister, Gayle (Herb) Fleming of Sarver; two brothers, the Rev. Andy (Gayle) of Mesa, Ariz., and Dale (Amy) of Forked River, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Percy III; a sister, Adrian Fuccello; and a nephew, Kevin McKivigan.

<B>PERCY</B> — Graveside services for Robert C. Percy, who died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday with interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.
