Edna Miller Carson
Edna Miller Carson, 91, of the Slippery Rock Personal Care Home, formerly of Boyd Drive in Butler, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Friday at the Slippery Rock Personal Care Home.
Born Feb. 5, 1917, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Fred Greenert and Sarah Minteer Greenert.
Edna was a self-employed music teacher for 33 years and owned and operated the Miller Music Studio on Boyd Drive.
She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She married Clarence R. Miller, who preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1986. Her second husband, Joseph M. Carson, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, C. John Miller of Fenelton and Kevin C. Miller of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Humphrey of Slippery Rock, Mrs. Harry L. (Patricia) Hovis of Chicora and Mrs. Darrel L. (Connie) LaMotte of Butler; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Beneigh of East Butler.
Also surviving are three stepchildren, Thomas Edward Carson of Smithfield, Ohio, Dixie Carson Turner of New Alexandria, Va., and Eleanor Carson Humes of Grayson, Ky.
She also was preceded in death by one sister.

North St. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
