Hilda Nazar, 79, of Newhaven Court, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Friday at her residence.

She was born July 30, 1929, in Vanderbilt. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth Whipkey Workman.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Springdale Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Nelson of Connellsville; two brothers, William Workman of Greensburg and Carl Workman of Spring Mills; and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nazar, who passed away Oct. 18, 2003.

<B>NAZAR </B>— Friends of Hilda Nazar, who died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Hindman of the Rider Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
