CYS/Lee
Lee, I apologize, not all of the post that I typed was printed.
The news paper reported that this father of the 7 year old was wandering the halls looking for his son. He claimed that his son had a migraine and wanted to take him home. When the female principal approached the dad, he punched her in the face and fled. What kind of guy does this? Instead of communicating like an adult and trying to solve the problem he assaults someone. CYS removed the boy and would not return the boy to the home until the father was in custody. Can they try to sue CYS, sure. If CYS wouldn't have acted on this situation and something happened to the little boy by the hand of the father, would they be sued then by mom? Probably. Am I defensive and opinionated about abuse, you bet. Before starting my 15 year career in nursing I worked at a group home with teenagers. Do you know how many kids I sat with on Christmas morning and tried to make them laugh because they were not allowed to return home. The reason is because the father that molested them was chosen to remain in the house by mom, instead of having her daughter return home. I have seen many things over the years and I support removing any child who is in a potential harmful situation. I did not mean to lash out at you. I apologize.
