White

Mary C. White, 92, of the Passavant Retirement Community, formerly of West Park Road, Portersville, died Monday at North Hills Passavant Hospital following a brief illness.

Born April 19, 1916, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Emma Corbett Long.

She was married to the late George E. White, who died Aug. 11, 2001.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Portersville.

A graduate of the old Shenango High School, Mary enjoyed horseback riding, camping, reading and dogs.

Survivors include three children, David (Carol) White of Ellport, Diana (Edward) Campbell of Slippery Rock and Thomas M. White of Portersville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The last of her family, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople with the Rev. Dana Opp and the Rev. John Hoogerbrugge officiating.
