Leland H. 'Lee' Fry

Leland H. "Lee" Fry, 77, of Butler died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 17, 1931, in Butler, he was a son of the late Charles and Agnes Kaib Fry.

Lee was a class-A fitter for the Herr Voss Corp. in Callery, where he worked for 30 years until his retirement in 1994.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War.

Lee enjoyed woodworking, and his hobby was collecting and displaying Lionel model trains.

He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

His wife, Marie Beltrami Fry, whom he married Sept. 6, 1955, survives. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, William and "Maddy" Fry and Kevin and Lori Fry, both of Butler; a brother and his wife, Walter and Mary Ellen Fry of Tennessee; and a sister, Mrs. Norm (Mary Ann) Terrick of Pittsburgh. Six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

<B>FRY </B>— There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Leland H. "Lee" Fry, who died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.
