Regis W. Lewis
Regis W. Lewis Sr., 80, of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 7, 1928, in East Butler, he was the son of Harry N. Lewis and Viola K. (Logan) Lewis.
He was a graduate of Winfield High School.
He was a yard operator for Armstrong Cement in West Winfield, where he retired in April 1991 after 44 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. In his youth, he was an altar boy, and he served as an usher for 45 years.
Mr. Lewis was married Nov. 17, 1951, in Cabot to Patricia J. Patten, who died Jan. 21, 2001.
He was a past board member of the Saxonburg Village Condo Association.
Mr. Lewis was best known for making homemade bread and giving it to his neighbors. His pride and joy was his children and grandchildren, whom he loved spending time with. Regis was a devoted neighbor and friend who would help anyone.
Surviving are three sons, Donald E. (Lynda) Lewis of Burleson, Texas, Regis W. Lewis Jr. of East Brady and Michel (Kai-Lukas) Lewis of Oakland, Calif.; two daughters, Christine (Dean) Greenawalt of Sligo and Elayne (Christopher) Newcomb of Westlake, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Megan Lewis, Justin Royle, Joshua Royle, Bryan Greenawalt, Jeremy Greenawalt, and Kyla and Trent Newcomb; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Main St., Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
