Richard and Joyce Desmond

Richard and Joyce Desmond of Butler and Boynton Beach, Fla., are celebrating 50 years of marriage at Bostons on the Beach in Florida and will celebrate with a family dinner in May when they return home.

Desmond married the former Joyce Allison on April 15, 1959, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, Debra Gray of Ocean Ridge, Fla., Russell Desmond of Hubertus, Wis., and Kim Culbertson of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Desmond is retired from working for U.S. Steel.

Mrs. Desmond works part time for Northwood Realty in Butler.

The Desmonds belong to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Desmond is a Freedom Celebration committee member.
