Angeline Brooks

Angeline "Angie" Nuzzo Brooks, 99, of Slippery Rock, died Thursday.

She is survived by three children, Elsie Frances (Fran) Meiers of Verona, Regina C. (Jean) Lehman of Severna Park, Md., and Robert (Bob) Ciotola of Fountain Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Ambrose Ciotola and Paul (Bucky) Brooks.

Angie led a full and productive life. In her early years, she enjoyed sharing good times with friends and customers in her neighborhood tavern in Pittsburgh. In the 1970s she retired to a quiet life as a full-time Slippery Rock resident, where she became a loyal member of St. Peter's Church.

The family would like to thank granddaughter Sherry Borza and her husband, Ray, and special friends Bill and Beverly Sommers for their loving care of Angie during her final years.

<B>BROOKS</B> — The family of Angeline Brooks, who died Thursday, March 26, 2009, will receive friends from 11 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William Gross Funeral Home</B>, 11735 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills, with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the North Butler Feed My Sheep Food Pantry, P.O. Box 45, Harrisville, PA 16038.
