Kenneth R. Grazier, 73, of Chicora died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family after losing his battle to cancer.

Born June 7, 1935, in Chicora, he was the son of the late Milton Clifford and Lauretta Genievive (McCollough) Grazier.

He married Virginia Coleman Dec. 30, 1955.

He was a private first class in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was stationed in Germany, and he received a Good Conduct Medal.

He retired from Armco Steel Corp. after 37½ years.

Along with being a loving and devoted husband and father, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting and being "Mr. Fix-It" for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one daughter, Christine Wilson and her husband, Jim, of Butler; one son, Scott Grazier and his wife, Lesa, of Meridian; four grandchildren, Chiara Paisley and her husband, Harry, of Butler, Dylan Grazier of Lower Burrell, Austyn Grazier of Lower Burrell and Aubrey Grazier of Lower Burrell; one great-grandson, Cohen Ray Paisley of Butler; two sisters, Lucille Freshcorn of Fombell and Vivian Wigton and her husband, Don, of Cochranton; and one brother, Wayne Grazier and his wife, Dianne, of Hilton Head, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Clifford Grazier.

<B>GRAZIER</B> Out of respect of the wishes of Kenneth R. Grazier, who died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, there will be no services.The family requests that memorial donations be made to VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA. 16001.Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
