William M. Barr

Barr

William M. Barr, 68, of Branchton Road, Slippery Rock, died at 12:44 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Oct. 5, 1940, he was the son of Ralph Neely Barr and Ida Ruth Murtland Barr.

He retired from Pullman-Standard and Trinity Industries in Lyndora.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Surviving are a daughter, Tesha M. Parker of Youngstown, Ohio; a son, Timothy W. Barr of Lake Milton, Ohio; two brothers, Robert Barr and his wife, Shirley, of Butler and Larry Barr of Butler; a sister, Margaret Pefferman of Gibsonia; and a granddaughter, Mia Isabella Moran. Several nieces and nephews, including nephew Ermes L. Lisotto of Gibsonia, to whom he was like a father; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>BARR</B> - Visitation for William M. Barr, who died Monday, April 20, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor of the Branchton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.
