Georgie 'Bunny' Bonar

Georgie Evelyn "Bunny" Bonar, 87, formerly of Butler, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday in the Ocean Medical Center, Brick, N.J.

Born Nov. 3, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late George P. Zinn and the late Cora Frances Snyder.

Mrs. Bonar was a waitress for various restaurants.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing and cooking and was an Avon representative and a food demonstrator.

Mrs. Bonar is survived by one son, Gerald Wilson of Butler; one daughter, Frances A Dubois of Brick, N.J.; one sister, Martha Balfour of Butler; one granddaughter, Robin Dubois of Brick, N.J.; one grandson, Richard Dubois of Bethesda, Md.; five nieces; and one nephew.

Mrs. Bonar was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bonar, whom she married Aug. 27, 1951, and who passed away Nov. 7, 1979.

<B>BONAR</B> Friends of Georgie Evelyn "Bunny" Bonar, who died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Merritt of Nixon United Methodist Church officiating.
