David Lee Schneider
David Lee "Herbie" Schneider, 78, of 690 Deal Road, Romulus, N.Y., formerly of Mars, died Friday at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, N.Y.
Born Nov. 21, 1930, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Estol and Mary Lee (Oar) Schneider.
He served in the U.S. Army at the Pentagon. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, he went to work as an engineer at the John Harrison Co. in Pittsburgh.
Herbie truly enjoyed life and could be found out on the road riding one of his many motorcycles or fishing at a nearby lake. He was a member of several clubs and associations, including the West Penn BMW Association, the Finger Lakes Moose Lodge 823, and the Mars VFW Mars.
He is survived by two sons, Eric (Keri Raymer of Greenfield, Mass.) Schneider of Romulus and Mark (Lori) Schneider of Mars; a daughter, Terry (Gary) Grubbs of Karns City; two grandchildren, Heather and Casey Grubbs; four sisters, Jerry Black, Mary Lou Swaney, Rexanne Schwadron and Pam Wissell; and many nieces and nephews.
Herbie was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Schneider; and a brother, Rick Schneider.
