Hager

William A. Hager, 93, formerly of North Pike Road in Cabot, died Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born Aug. 29, 1915, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Adolph and Amelia Lutcheon Hager.

Mr. Hager was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Bill was a retired self-employed plasterer. He owned and operated the William A. Hager Plastering Co. for more than 45 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. He was a member and past grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council 866 in Butler and was the past faithful navigator and member of the 4th degree of the K of C and a member of the color guard of the 4th Degree. Bill also was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64 in Butler and the AARP.

His wife, Bernice Kozicki Hager, who he married Oct. 24, 1942, preceded him in death Sept. 20, 1986. His daughter, Kathleen Quidone; three brothers; and one sister also preceded him.

Surviving are his son, David Hager and his wife, Nancy, of Lititz, Pa.; a brother, Joseph Hager of Freeport; his son-in-law, Joseph Quidone of Renfrew; and his grandchildren, Bill Quidone of Merrimack, N.H., and Angela Quidone of Renfrew. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

<B>HAGER </B><B> </B>Friends of William A. Hager, who died Monday, April 27, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
