Rose Marie Young
Rose Marie Young, 75, of East Brady, formerly of Kaylor, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 22, 1933, in Bradys Bend, she was the daughter of Ross Albert and Catherine Mae (Foringer) Wiles.
She was the wife of the late Leslie C. Young, whom she married May 6, 1950, and who died Jan. 6, 2002.
She enjoyed baking, playing cards and bingo, and traveling.
Mrs. Young retired from the Chicora Medical Center after 22 years as activity director. She also worked for the Russell Bennett Studio in Butler for 13 years.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene K. Ford and her husband, Ronald E., of Kaylor and Debbie Meals and husband, Dennis J., of Rimersburg. Also surviving are two brothers, Walter Wiles of East Brady and Vern Wiles of East Brady; five sisters, Marguerite Heginbotham of Bradys Bend, Julia Simpson of Sligo, Ilene Wissinger of Kittanning, Virginia Delano of Somerset and Genevieve Zellers of East Brady; four grandchildren, Michelle Kriebel of Chicora, Brian Ford and his fiancee, Tabitha Dorr, of Kaylor, Michael Meals and his wife, Sarah, of Summerville and Chrysta Bowser and her husband, Sean, of Clarion; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Ford, Brianna Ford, Emma Ford, Cecylia Bowser and Erika Meals.
In addition to her parents and husband, three sisters preceded her in death.
<B>YOUNG</B> — Friends of Rose Marie Young, who died Thursday, May 7, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. There will be no visitation or services on Sunday, Mother's Day.Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Higgins, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.Private burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.
