Edward J. Jakiel Sr., 83, of Wexford died Thursday.

He is survived by two sons, Frank L. Jakiel and his wife, Patricia, and Edward J. Jakiel, Jr. and his wife Linda; a daughter, Kandace A. Crerar and her husband, Robert; two brothers, Stanley Jakiel and Louis Jakiel; three sisters, Laura Stachura, Alice Stasko and Dorothy Borden; and three grandchildren, Heather McGuire, Nicholas Jakiel and Brenton Jakiel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mariam (Gass) Jakiel.

<B>JAKIEL</B> — Friends of Edward J. Jakiel Sr., who died Thursday, May 7, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>GEORGE A. THOMAS FUNERAL HOME</B>, 10418 Perry Highway, Wexford. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
