Edward Eugene McGrady, 78, widower of Doris Moore McGrady, died Saturday at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter, S.C.

Born in Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Lester McGrady and Idessa McGrady.

Mr. McGrady was a retired chief master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and received the Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Clusters. He was a Vietnam War veteran.

Surviving are two sons, Gregory A. McGrady and his wife, Kelly, of Sumter and Larry E. McGrady and his wife, Suki, of Fairbanks, Alaska; one sister, Betty McElaney of Arizona; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Terri Mahala, and a grandson, Joshua Daniel McGrady.
