Mary Ellen Criley

Mary Ellen Criley, 57, of South Clearfield Road died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 26, 1952, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Paul J. and Hazel M. (Slater) Criley.

She was a retired clerk, having worked for Widenhofer's Convenience Store.

Mary was a member of the St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, was a Girl Scout leader in Clearfield Township for 18 years, enjoyed crocheting, playing games, playing cards and swimming. Mary also was an avid auto racing fan and especially liked attending races at Lernerville Speedway.

Surviving are four sisters, Sue Rottman of Butler, Mrs. Wayne (Nancy) Smith of Worthington, Mrs. Kevin (Ruth) Reynolds of Butler and Lucy Criley of Fenelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Criley.

<B>Criley </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Mary Ellen Criley, who died Saturday, July 11, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 668 S. Clearfield Road, Fenelton.
