Old Stone House will be the site of "Conflict on the Venango Trail" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the grounds of the historic house on Route 8 near its intersection with Route 173. Admission to this re-enacted 18th-century French and Indian War encampment is free. Activities will include a living history encampment, military demonstrations and battle re-enactments. Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead, 199 Cooper Road, Cabot, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday with docent-led tours of the cabin and grounds. Join Penn State Master Gardener Barb Bishop as she demonstrates canning and freezing just like Nancy Cooper used to do. The cabin was built circa 1810 by the Cooper family and was home to their descendants until 1963. The property includes the cabin, a spinning house, a springhouse and an herb garden cared for by the Herbal Thymes Garden Club and the Master Gardeners.
