Yates

Kathryn L. (Zimmers) Yates, 93, of New Oxford, Adams County, died Saturday at her home.

She was the wife of the late Stanley M. Yates, her husband of more than 50 years, who died Sept. 28, 1989.

She was born May 6, 1916, in Schellsburg, Bedford County, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Susan M. (Kinsey) Zimmers.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, and the Daughters of Isabella in Michigan.

Kathryn is survived by a son, Stanley E. Yates of New Oxford; two daughters, Linda S. Rudnicki and her husband, Dan, of Saint Clair Shores, Mich., and Nancy K. Yates-Miller and her husband, Mark, of Towson, Md.; seven grandchildren, Karen Underwood of Kent City, Mich., Stanley E. Yates Jr. of McSherrystown, James A. Yates of Butler, William A. Yates of California, Tina O'Connor of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., Dana Bonaudo of Chesterfield, Mich., and Ryan Rudnicki of Saint Clare Shores, Mich.; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Zimmers of Berlin, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, William D. Yates, and a sister, Irma Livengood.

(Zimmers) Yates, who died Saturday, July 18, 2009, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon Wednesday at the <B>Feiser Funeral Home</B>, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Father Michael E.
