2:41 a.m. Wednesday — Grant Richard Weil, 21, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Coal Street. A 17-year-old Butler boy in Weil's vehicle was cited for underage drinking.12:14 a.m. Wednesday — Clair W. Boring, 56, of Butler Township was arrested for DUI on Route 8 South. Boring also was cited for not using his turn signals.Wednesday — A green, push lawn mower was reported stolen from the front yard of a home in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue. The Weedeater model lawn mower is valued at $200.1:25 a.m. Tuesday — Tashina Booher, 25, of Butler was arrested for DUI at North Chestnut and West Locust streets. Booher also was cited for unauthorized use of registration and altering a license plate.2:36 a.m. Sunday — Leslie Allen Wheeler, 40, of West Sunbury was arrested for DUI on Hansen Avenue. She also is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
4:38 p.m. Tuesday — Jacob Smith, 24, of Butler is accused of shoplifting a $499 vacuum from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Smith faces a charge of retail theft.2:21 p.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Daniel Bullman, no age given, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on New Castle Road at Moraine Pointe Plaza. Julie Kornick, no age given, of Cabot was driving the other vehicle.
5:57 a.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Bonnie Scheerbaum, 72, of Butler and a minivan driven by Richard A. Carbone, 61, of New Castle collided on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.Wednesday — An unknown thief stole $2,000 worth of copper wire on Kennedy Road. Joseph Vaccarello Jr. Inc. owns the property that was taken between Aug. 1 and Wednesday.10:30 p.m. Tuesday — Justin Kelminsky, 22, of Valencia told police that someone deliberately hit him with a dark-colored car as he walked on the side of Route 8 in Middlesex Township. He said he was walking to work when he was hit. Kelminsky suffered leg and head injuries but refused to go to the hospital for treatment.6 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old Evans City boy struck a car on Reiber Road near Gilliland Road in Connoquenessing Township. Teresa O'Malley, 53, of Zelienople, who was driving the car, suffered minor injuries. The teen, who police did not identify, faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.1:20 p.m. Sunday — Carl Anthony Radowicz, 20, of Lower Burrel, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Route 308 and Pry's Circle in Cherry Township.Saturday — A silver, Honda push lawn mower was among items stolen in a burglary at a vacant house on Royal Oak Drive in Penn Township. A red, Homelite string trimmer; a green, 16-inch Poulan chain saw; and various tools also were taken in the break-in between 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.10 p.m. Aug. 19 — Kenneth L. Seybert, 50, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Brownsdale Road in Forward Township following a two-vehicle collision that left five people injured.The crash occurred when a pickup driven by Edward Scharding III, 22, of Evans City crossed into the opposite lane and struck Seybert's truck. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.Lorrie R. Lazar, 20, of Valencia and Derek Biesinger, 23, of Ford City, Armstrong County, passengers in the pickup, suffered minor and moderate injuries, respectively. A 7-year-old Allegheny County girl riding in the car also suffered minor injuries.All those injured, except Seybert, were treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said.Aug. 19 — About $800 was stolen from an office at Saint Wendelin Catholic School in Summit Township. The theft happened between Aug. 17 and 19.
