Moraine State Park will be the site of "Walk with the Mammals" at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Join the park naturalist at the Lakeview Beach area pavilion 4 for a program that will discuss some of the similarities and differences among mammals and their habitats. The program will include a short hike to look for evidence of these mammals. "Nature Watch Kayaking" will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday. This entry-level kayaking program is to meet the needs of those interested in an easy peaceful experience rather than a long hard paddle. Meet the naturalist at the McDanel's launch area on the North Shore. Take a kayak or call 724-368-8811 to borrow one or confirm programs.

<B>McConnells Mill State Park</B>, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, will have a Summer 2009 Heart Hike led by a park naturalist at the Slippery Rock Gorge Trail Sunday. Hours at the Old Mill through Labor Day are from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Interpretive mill tours, which include a grinding demonstration, will be available at 1 and 2 p.m. Fridays and 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Group tours may be scheduled by calling 724-368-3612. Other times are available by appointment. Call 724-368-8091.<B>Star Parties</B>, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, are planned for about 8 p.m. today and Saturday, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazer Township, Allegheny County. Sights will include the summer Milky Way, Jupiter, Neptune and the moon shortly after first quarter.
