Manuel Albert, 89, of Butler died Monday evening at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 12, 1919, in Cuba, he was the son of the late Angel and Maria Albert.

He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He also was formerly employed at John R. Ellison and Sons and at Elliott Tire.

He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Hernandez Albert, who he married July 24, 1949. They were married for 60 years.

Also surviving are a son, James Albert of South Dakota; a daughter, Isabel Dumbaugh of Glenshaw; a sister, Ines Unzaga of Florida; three grandchildren, Joshua Dumbaugh of Columbus, Ohio, Bret Dumbaugh of Butler, and Zachary Albert of South Dakota; and a great-grandson, Gage Sherman of Butler.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

<B>ALBERT </B>— Friends of Manuel Albert, who died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.
