Jeanne A. Rieger

Jeanne A. Rieger, 75, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.

She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Andrew John Horlick and Frances (Melensky) Horlick.

Jeanne was a charter member of the M.S. Club of Butler, and she started the Connoquenessing Singles' Club in the 1980s.

She especially liked outings with her children.

There is a special thanks to her Sunnyview angels and the people who took time to visit her.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ricki (Debra) Valensky of Renfrew and Dolores "Dolly" Rieger of Butler; two sons, Kenneth Rieger of Ellwood City and Richard Rieger of Butler; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Gloria) Manchor of Pittsburgh, Rita Horlick of Pittsburgh, Helen Brailey and Mrs. Grey (Norma) Briscoe, both of San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. James (Nettie) Goldfinch of South Carolina; three brothers, Melvin Horlick of Grove City and Clyde and Andrew Horlick, both of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

<B>RIEGER</B> — Friends of Jeanne A. Rieger, who died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
