7:18 a.m. — A car driven by Patrick A. Alexander, 18, of Center Township rear ended another car on West Jefferson Street. A 14-year-old boy riding in the other car, driven by a 16-year-old Butler girl, suffered a minor injury.

7:15 p.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Donna Pallone, 55, and Victoria Young, 35, both of Butler, collided at New Castle and Duffy roads. Pallone was cited for a red light violation.5:46 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Josh Claypoole, 28, of Kittanning and a sport utility vehicle driven by Heather Archer, 36, of Butler collided on Saw Mill Run Road.12:24 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Bart Cavaliere Jr., 67, of Butler struck the rear of a car at North Main Street and Cedar Drive. Polly Hicks, 55, of Butler, who was driving the car, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for back and neck pain. Cavaliere was cited for careless driving.

Sunday — Police filed simple assault and theft charges against a 16-year-old boy stemming from an Aug. 24 altercation between the suspect and another boy near the Grove City Library.The suspect, who police not identify, is accused of hitting the other youth and then taking the bicycle owned by the alleged victim, who suffered minor injuries. The 16-year-old is charged in Mercer County juvenile court.

Monday — An unknown burglar stole unspecified items from a home in the 100 block of Cruikshank Road in Winfield Township. The break-in occurred between 9:20 a.m. and 3:53 p.m.Sunday — A sunburst-colored Fender Robert Cray Edition electric guitar was stolen from a home on Keister Road in Slippery Rock. The guitar, valued at $900, was taken during a weekend party.Sunday — Assorted building materials were stolen between 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday from a construction site on Albert Drive in Muddy Creek Township.Sept. 15 — Undisclosed items were taken in an overnight burglary at Rodger's Dairy Queen on North Main Street in Center Township.
