John P. Tonelli
John P. Tonelli, 95, of Forestville died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center.
Born in Boyers, July 28, 1914, he was the son of Pasquale Tonelli and Maria (Lambardi) Tonelli.
He was a painter at Slippery Rock University, retiring in 1980. He previously was the co-owner of the Forestville Grocery Store.
Mr. Tonelli was a member of the St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus of Grove City, the Harrisville American Legion Post 852, the Blue Army of the church and the St. Anthony Men's Club.
He was a former golfer, hunter and gardener.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He married Anna Mary (Isacco) Tonelli, Jan. 12, 1946, and she died Dec. 25, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela M. Koch and her husband, Frank, of Slippery Rock and Elaine A. Tonelli of Forestville; two sons, John P. Tonelli and his wife, Didri, of Batavia, Ohio, and Edward J. Tonelli and his wife, Joyce, of Forestville; grandchildren, Christine McGowan, Nichole Kovacik, Joseph Tonelli, Benjamin Tonelli and John Kuhn; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
<B>TONELLI</B> — Friends of John P. Tonelli, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at the St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville. The time has not been set. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery, Harrisville.
