F. William Feightner

Feightner

F. William "Bill" Feightner, 65, a 37-year resident of 602 Ridgeway Ave., Grove City, died at 9 a.m. Monday at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colo., Sept. 30, 1943, he was the son of Dr. Francis William Feightner and Sara Mills Feightner.

He married Bonnie L. Hoagland on Sept. 30, 1972.

Mr. Feightner retired in October 1998 from the Pine Grove Golf Course, Grove City, where he was the groundskeeper for 15 years. Previously, he was a produce manager for the former Kroger store in Grove City.

He was a 1961 graduate of Greensburg High School and a graduate of Grove City College, Class of 1965.

He was a lifetime member and past president of the Grove City Eagles and a member of ATV Traction Club of Venango County and the American Legion in Mercer.

He enjoyed golf, working on cars and collected old cars.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie, at home; two daughters, Michelle L. Feightner and Michael Burk of Grove City and Jennifer L. Plesakov and her husband, Chad, of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren, Justin Burk, Michael Burk, Jared Burk and Ethan and Lexi Plesakov; a brother, Charles M. Feightner and his wife, Jane, of Greensburg; and a sister, Mary Ann Matthews, and her husband, Dennis, of Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>FEIGHTNER</B> — Visitation for F. William "Bill" Feightner, who died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Worline, pastor of the First Church of God, Grove City, officiating. Burial will be at the Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
