Ruth E. Martin, 79, of Evans City passed away peacefully Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born May 27, 1930, in Cherry Valley, she was the daughter of C. Clyde and Alice Jolly Martin.

She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1948 and attended Grove City College.

She worked at MSA in Evans City, retiring in 1992 after 39 years.

She was a United Presbyterian.

Surviving are her brother, Charles A. Martin of Butler; her sister, Alice M. Martin of Evans City; 10 nieces and nephews, Lynn (Scott) Davis, Karen (Brian) Antoszyk, Lisa Martin, Frank (Linda) Slater, Gary (Caprice) Martin, Janet (Michael) Koenig, Janie Sloat, Laura Mata, Raymond (Mary) Martin and Charles (Jessica) Martin; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Anson Card and Cindy Drozda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Martin Bauman; two brothers, George C. Martin and Ralph Edwin Martin; and a niece, Susan Cross.

<B>MARTIN</B> — Friends of Ruth E. Martin, who died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in the East Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the East Unity Presbyterian Church and Cemetery Association, Eau Claire.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
