James Edward McKee

James Edward McKee, 69, of Sunset Drive died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 24, 1939, in West Sunbury, he was the son of the late Dean McKee and Dorothy Kamerer McKee Caldwell.

James was retired from Pullman Standard and also was owner and operator of James McKee Auto Sales on Sunset Drive.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler, Butler Elks Club, the French and Belgium Club and the Italian Club. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He married Ruby McEntyre McKee Nov. 25, 1964, and she preceded him in death Jan. 18, 2003.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas A. McKee Sr. of Fenelton and Michael J. McKee of Atlanta; a daughter, Theresa L. McKee-Fallecker of Butler; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a stepbrother, Charles Henry (Sam) Caldwell of Warren, Ohio; a stepsister, Mrs. Frank (Jane Victoria) Polichena of Ravenna, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother.

<B>McKEE</B> — Friends and family of James McKee, who died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Toy officiating.Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society Western Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.Officers and members of V.F.W.
