Motko, Kern
Lauren Motko and Andrew Kern, both of Troy, Mich., were united in marriage July 4 at Our Lady of Victory Church in State College. The Rev. Charles Hugo officiated. A reception followed at the Nittany Lion Inn.
The bride is the daughter of JoRenée and Dave Motko of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Linda and Richard Kern of Pittsburgh.
The honor attendant was Mindi Marisa of New York. Bridesmaids included Jodie Kern of Pittsburgh, Meghan Nunes of Gibsonia, Alison Kruth of Saxonburg, Amanda Spallone of Saltsburg and Carrie Vardy of Butler. The flower girl was Gracyn Vardy of Butler
Performing the duties of best men were Jeff Kern of Pittsburgh and Danny Saint Auguste of Pittsburgh. Ushers included Ryan Beasley of Montgomery Village, Md., Kerry Marisa of New York, Troy Nunes of Gibsonia and Tyler Powell of Alburtis.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Penn State University. She is employed by Chippewa Valley Schools in Michigan.
The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Md. He is employed by Iron Mountain in Michigan.
Following a honeymoon trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Troy.
