Lois M. Stoops

Lois M. Stoops, a lifelong resident of Harrisville, went to to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday with her family by her side after a brief illness.

She died at Grove City Medical Center.

Mrs. Stoops, who resided on East Mercer Street, was born in Hilliards on Nov. 22, 1924, to Cody Campbell and Myrtle (Norcross) Campbell.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Stoops was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church and the Harrisville American Legion Auxiliary. She was a former camper and enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are her husband, James A. Stoops, whom she married Dec. 6, 1947; two sons, James David Stoops of Harrisville and Gary L. Stoops and his wife, Mary, of Grove City; two grandsons, Daniel L. Stoops and his wife, Erin, and John P. Stoops and his wife, Kimberly; one sister, Codene Foster of New Wilmington; and one brother, Wayne Campbell and his wife, Grace, of Transfer, Mercer County.

Mrs. Stoops was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

<B>STOOPS — </B>Friends of Lois M. Stoops, who died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>JAMISON</B> <B>FUNERAL HOME</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry A. Mahaffey of North Liberty Presbyterian Church officiating.
