Why are you running?KERR: I am running to preserve Muddy Creek Township's valuable rural environment.
SUDANO: Since I had only a two-year term as a supervisor, I want to finish the projects and ordinances that are still pending. I showed perfect attendance at meetings, also going to the Butler Association of Public Officials meetings biannually. Many months and hours were given on establishing of the pilot travel center on Route 422.
What are the top three issues facing your municipality?KERR: 1. Finding ways to continue the road maintenance program using limited funds with increasing expenses; 2. Replacing equipment at the end of its useful life cycle with limited funding resources; 3. Providing better communications to the residents about services provided by local, state and federal agencies using the township Web site.
SUDANO: 1. Repair and resurfacing of six major roads; 2. Balancing the 2010 budget; 3. Working to keep taxes down.
