PROSPECT — Softball legend Roy Gallagher, the only player/coach in ASA history to hold state titles in all three divisions, is pitching in an all-day tournament Saturday in Prospect.

Gallagher shattered several ASA individual and team records in the 1990s.

KARNS CITY — Karns City's boys and girls soccer teams will host District 9 playoff games Thursday.The boys will play the winner of Tuesday's Port Allegany-DuBois Central game. The girls will host Forest Area. Game times have not been announced.

JACKSON TWP — Tyler Mesisca was named tournament MVP as the Seneca Valley varsity hockey team defended its St. Margaret's Fall Faceoff Tournament championship recently.The Raiders defeated Upper St. Clair 4-2 in the championship game.

SARVER — Persistent rain forced postponement of Night Two of the inaugural DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede Friday night at Lernerville Speedway.Friday's scheduled heat races have been moved to 6 p.m. Saturday. Saturday's scheduled format of B-mains and features has been rescheduled for Sunday.
