Nevel

Elsie O. Nevel, 77, of Holyoke Road in Butler died Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born April 8, 1932, in Butler, a daughter of the late Gabriel and Esther Wasko Buzas.

Elsie was a licensed practical nurse and worked 33 years for Dr. Donald Goehring until her retirement.

She was a member the North Main Street Church of God and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband, Lawrence D. Nevel, who she married March 22, 1957, preceded her in death Nov. 24, 1988.

Surviving are one brother and his wife, Edward and Donna Buzas of Southern Pines, N.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Leona Eaton of Eastern Pennsylvania and Eleanor Broderick and her husband, Martin L. Broderick Jr., of Butler. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; great-niece, Michele Wardle; great-nephews, George M. Wardle and Matthew Wardle; and several other great-nieces and great-nephews.

Seven brothers, one sister, and an infant son preceded her in death.

<B>NEVEL</B> — Friends of Elsie O. Nevel, who died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
