The Englishes in 1959

Richard "Dick" and Phyllis English of Harrisville will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Harrisville Fire Hall.

English married the former Phyllis Knight on Nov. 7, 1959, in Leesburg Presbyterian Church in Leesburg, Pa.

They have two children, Keith English of Hermitage and Konnie Stoops of Harrisville.

They also have one grandchild.

Mr. English is retired from Montgomery Block in Harrisville, where he was a cement truck driver. He is also a former cement truck driver for Cooper Brothers in Slippery Rock.

Mrs. English is a homemaker.

The Englishes attend Highland Presbyterian Church of Harrisville.
