McCue

Gary L. McCue, 65, of Butler died at 4:45 p.m. Friday at his home.

Born Jan. 10, 1944, in West Franklin Township, he was the son of John D. McCue and Cathern S. McGrady McCue.

Mr. McCue retired from Butler Armco Steel in 2001.

He was an active member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler, serving as first vice commander. He called bingo at the American Legion Post 117 and arranged its annual golf tournament.

Mr. McCue also was a member of the Italian Society of Butler. He loved golfing. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren dearly.

Mr. McCue was a veteran of the United States Army, with the rank of sergeant.

Mr. McCue was a Catholic.

Mr. McCue is survived by his wife, Dolores Y. (Gagliardi) McCue, who he married on June 25, 1991; two sons, Scott B. McCue and his wife, Brenda, of Renfrew and Vincent E. McCue and his wife, Linda, of Butler; five grandchildren, Ian S. McCue, Tyler S. McCue, Erika F. McCue, Ashley L. Greenawalt and Kylie M. Valensky; two great-grandchildren, Josh M. Greenawalt and Natalie L. Greenawalt; eight brothers, Donald J. McCue of Dunbar, Bernard A. McCue of State College, William R. McCue of Penn Hills, Melvin J. McCue of Fenelton, Paul P. McCue of Fenelton, John L. McCue of Butler, Kenneth L. McCue of Worthington and David M. McCue of Worthington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. McCue was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne C. McCue and Raymond P. McCue.

<B>McCue</B> — Friends of Gary L. McCue, who died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E North St.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery.Officers and members of American Legion 117 will conduct a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Officers and members of VFW Post 249, American Legion Post 117 and American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora will conduct the graveside services.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Butler County Unit, P.
