Police search for city robbery suspect
Police are searching today for a man believed to have robbed a convenience store in the city.
According to Butler police radio transmissions, the suspect walked into E-Z Stop on North Main Street around 10:30 a.m.
He asked for cigarettes, then reached behind the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash.
The radio report said no weapons were involved in the incident.
The suspect, described as a "very thin," 6-foot-2-inch black man wearing a black cap, then reportedly fled.
He was last seen getting into a 1990s Ford Bronco driven by a white woman with red hair, according to the police radio. Another person, identified only as a white man, was a passenger in the vehicle.
City police said they were continuing their investigation.
