Wilma 'Bill' Campbell

Wilma H. "Bill" Campbell, 83, of Chicora, formerly of North Washington, passed away at 12:44 a.m. today at the Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Butler County and was the daughter of S. Don and Helen I. Pennington Campbell.

She was a very loving mother and grandmother and devoted her life to her family.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated Campbell's Custard Stand in North Washington for 25 years and was a former member of the North Washington Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter, Gay (Ray) Rossi of Chicora; a son, Kirby (Ellen Kay) Campbell of Butler; five grandchildren, Kelly Campbell of Fort Mill, S.C., Heather (Scott) Sprouse of Charlotte, N.C., Kristen (Michael) Funovits of Gibsonia, Chad (Molly) Rossi of Chicora and Kimberly (Dan) Sundie of Butler; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Rossi, Slater Sprouse, Koen Sundie and Kade Sundie; along with a sister-in-law, Betty Campbell; an aunt, Lola Koebler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Campbell, who passed away Aug. 4, 2002; her parents, two sisters and a brother.

<B>CAMPBELL</B> — Friends of Wilma H. "Bill" Campbell, who died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Visitation also will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Higgins, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Eau Claire Cemetery.
