Vernon L. Sarvey
Vernon L. Sarvey, 67, of Butler, died Friday at VA Butler Healthcare.
Born May 3, 1942, in Butler, he was the son of Ralph M. Sarvey and Beulah Irene Aggas Sarvey.
He worked for Pullman Standard until the plant closed. He then worked at Trinity Industries until his retirement.
He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening and spending time with his family. He had been a foster parent.
Surviving are his daughter, Bernice (Jeff) Silvis of Sarver; five brothers, Ralph Sarvey, Raymond Sarvey, Albert Sarvey, Kenneth Sarvey and Dean Sarvey, all of Butler; his sister, Glenna (Bob) Weichey of Butler; and two granddaughters, Evelyn and Victoria.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Elvira G. Zorn Sarvey on Aug. 9, 2004; his parents; one brother, Silas Sarvey; and one sister, Norma Campbell.
