Earl A. Float
Earl A. Float, 87, of North Irwin died Saturday at Excella Health Westmoreland Hospital at Jeannette.
Born Aug. 23, 1922, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William Armstrong and Anna Mary (Armstrong) Float.
He was a retired machinist for Westinghouse Electric, East Pittsburgh, with 44 years service and an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 37th Engineer Division.
Surviving are children, Lorraine (John) Richards of Butler, Robert (June) Anderson of North Versailles, Keith (Mary) Anderson of New Jersey, Rosemarie (Dan) Bonner of Virginia and Joanne (Mike) Dopkosky of North Irwin; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Morgan) Float, a brother, and two sisters.
<B>FLOAT</B> — Friends of Earl A. Float, who died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the <B>William Snyder Funeral Home</B>, 521 Main St., Irwin.Services will be at noon in the funeral home with interment following in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
