Frances Ruth Wallace

Frances Ruth Wallace, 89, of Butler passed away Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Allegheny County, the daughter of the late Hazel Kerwin.

She was a member of the Rider Lutheran Church.

She had worked at the Altmeyer and Betty Gay stores.

Surviving are her son, Vance (Ruth) Wallace of Durham, N.C.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Alice Stevens of Texas; and two brothers, Charles Kerwin and Kenneth Kerwin, both of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance W. Wallace Sr., who died Dec. 25, 1998; a daughter; and a brother.

<B>WALLACE</B> — Private services for Frances Ruth Wallace, who died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler, with the Rev. Dennis Hindman of Rider Lutheran Church officiating.
